The four of us will be taking a leisurely pace, most days will be between 150-175 miles. However, one day we have a whopping 275 miles. We will see if we can make it... remember, this is all off-road and on slow curvy/mountainous roads.
We leave in about a month's time - no exact dates yet. However, I'll post a spotwalla tracking link on my page before we leave so everyone can keep up with us.
I wanted to do some camping - but some of the guys we are going with prefer more comfortable accommodations. I'm still going to be packing my camping gear because I really need to start testing the weight distribution and my setup.
While on the SM1000 adventure, we will be staying in some pretty nice cabins / lodges throughout the Smoky Mountains.
The bikes that will be on this trip:
2 x BMW f800GS
1 x KTM 990 Adventure R (biggest bike in the crowd)
1 x KTM 790 Adventure R
Until we leave, I'll continue to ride locally. I might be able to convince my wife to go up to Ocala national forest for an overnight camping expedition.
